Dag van de wilde gans

illustration, graphic design, brand identity

In the spring of 2024, I designed the brand identity for dag van de wilde gans, the day of the wild goose. Wild geese cause damage to agriculture and air traffic, which is the reason around 40,000 geese are killed every year in North-Holland - the vast majority of these geese are destroyed.

At dag van de wilde gans, visitors could try different foods, attend talks and learn about everything the wild goose has to offer and how the geese get a valuable spot in the food cycle.

The four concepts

After sketching some early ideas, it was time to change them into actual concepts. The colours were inspired by the moodboard I was provided with, fresh, modern and bold.

Final designs

The final logo was designed after choosing for concept 3, de ronde. The letters are rounded and the goose illustration that wraps around the text gives the logo an approachable feel. The design was then translated to two posters, one with and one without the goose illustration.
